After a few words with him you are impressed with his knowledge of the AMP program, its strengths, and his desire to make the program even better.In his quiet and deliberate manner, Dr. Hicks assumed that directorship of one of the most successful programs the Directorate for Education and Human Resources at National Science Foundation. Dr. Hicks,
former Dean of Arts and Sciences at North Carolina A&T University,became Program Director on September 1, 1997.
